Capricorn is the 10th sign in the western astrological zodiac. Capricorns are people born between the 21st of December and the 19th of January. It is one of the three earth signs and one of the four cardinal signs. Character traits often attributed to Capricorn include the following;
Ambition – Capricorns can be very ambitious and they can be ambitious to a fault. Being ambitious itself is not a bad thing, it is a very good trait to have however Capricorns can be ambitious at the expense of others.
Capricorns will often become friends with people solely because of the benefits they have to offer. They will do this at the expense of cultivating real relationships. They will strategize and plan how to insert themselves into the lives of the people who can help them. Once again, being ambitious is a very desirable trait, however, it is important to be considerate of the feelings of others and remember that people are not transactions or products.
1. Stoic Nature – Stoicism is a philosophical movement from the Hellenistic period. Stoicism prizes wisdom, moderation, fortitude, and self-control.
When not practiced properly it can lead to repression of emotions and the inability to communicate your feelings and boundaries. This can be quite harmful to Capricorns because they need regular reassurance.
Stoicism and level-headedness are both very coveted attributes however they both need to be in moderation. Emotions are important and they should not be repressed.
2. Determination – Capricorns are very determined. This is why they tend to excel in leadership positions and business. Determination and focus are very prized traits however Capricorns tend to struggle with hyperfocus. Capricorns find it hard to abandon projects halfway however some projects need to be abandoned.
They also struggle with perfectionism so they will overwork themselves at the expense of their relationships, personal life, and even health.
Capricorns are very stable, level-headed, dependable, loyal, and realistic. They are the ultimate earth sign so they are not compatible with all the signs. They work well with Taurus and Virgo, the other Earth signs as well as Scorpio and Leo however they do not work well with Aries and Sagittarius. Aries and Capricorn
- First we have Aries. Aries shares traits like determination, leadership, and confidence with Capricorn however it ends there. Aries are passionate, optimistic, and impatient which can be extremely unbearable for the classic Capricorn. These traits do not mix well together. Aries’ passionate nature can be draining for a Capricorn who prefers practicality and quiet. This will lead to arguments or just passive-aggressive behavior. The optimistic nature of the Aries can also be overbearing for a Capricorn who prefers a more realistic way of thinking alongside a stoic personality. These personality types clash heavily and not in a very good way.
Although a romantic relationship might be explosive and interesting in the beginning, it will become stressful very quickly if there is no compromise and proper communication between the parties.
Sagittarius and Capricorn
Just like Aries, Sagittarius is another Fire sign that is not very compatible with Capricorn. Sagittarius’ are generous, funny, impatient, not a fan of clingy people and details. This results in quite a stressful match. The lack of attention to detail will no doubt irritate and stress the Capricorn who values practicality, methods, and organization.
